You may remember this from nearly 2 weeks back and how gutted I was?

Especially as she was looking like this:

Well, she is as good as new, well, factory new but I am really pleased with the repair, they have done a top job!

It had a new left wing and bonnet - the gap is identical to the other side:

my only grumble is a slight paint difference - the new wing being lighter. The bonnet doesn't seem to have much colour difference.

The repair was done at Auto Crash Repairs LTD in Bedford - superb family like service, and they are certified by 12 major repairers - http://www.acrbedford.co.uk/

Just got to get a new debadge grill and some Depos in the future and she will be just how I wanted her

they should blow the wing they replaced into the adjacent panels, did the not do this?

cant believe a decent bodyshop would just spray a wing then bolt it on without blending, especially with red

To be honest, I don't know what they did in terms of the paint/mopping/polishing etc all I know is that they did a good job - no panel gaps etc like everyone said there would be.

Steve - if they had done bits like that, the labour charge would have rocketed AND probably meant the car was written off.

take it back and say your not happy with the colour match they will rectify it. I had a similar accident in my old fiesta and the colour match was shite and the car ended up going back 3 times which resulted in the car having a full respray

Well spotted

One thing that is annoying me, is that the bonnet squeaks. I thought it was open, so popped it, lifted up and dropped it, thinking that would cure it, then after a while, it squeaks again. It is catching though, so won't fly open. Next to the hook catch, there is a thicker bit with the spring on, that has paint on it, from rubbing against the slam panel which has been sprayed.

Will the squeaking stop after a while (i.e. when the paint has rubbed off?) or should I take it back? Can't take it back till Thursday though

In the future - won't be till I get my renewal through and see how much that is first - £1400 for my repair + repair of 2 other cars + anything they 'claim' such as whiplash.
