I got mine done at the body shop. Mine was about £250 (had the washer jets removed too and the bonnet was green so need to be sprayed completly). Probs a bit pricey, but its double skinned and its flawless

what bad thngs have you heard about them?

things like headlights cracking when the bonnet is closed/dropped and paint cracking!
by the way, when you say youve had the washer jets removed, isnt that an mot failure or have to located them in the scuttle panel?

did mine myself - bought eye brows off someone on here then bonded them to bonnet instead of to the lights - then filled with P40 and P38 - still need to finish it proply and smooth and paint - must have cost me what - £60 max - if that - and i got the experiance from it which is price less - but for everything else - theres mastercard!! haha!! couldnt resist that!!

You just have to be carefull when closing the bonnet. Ive put some of that foamy draft excluder tape on the bit that comes over the headlight, so the metal is not in diresct contact with the light. Paint will only crack if its a crap job.
I got them removed after the mot so i wont have to worry till the end of the summer ....just take it to a friendly mot tester

Im pretty sure that wont be as strong as welding metal plates instead. And isnt P40 that fibrefill stuff not actually proper fibreglass?

My washer jets have been smoothed off the bonnet. I just got some wipers that have built in jets on them. Works a treat.

Paint doesn't fade any more than normal if it's on fibreglass.
