Since the demise of thatcherism and the fact that we are seeing an increasing trend of 'career women' since the 90's is it a coincidence that we now have an increasing amount of chav youngsters?

I believe the rise of the chav youth to be due to unattentive or a lacking in proper child development that would be delivered by mothers at home. Historically mothers have always provided the biggest input into bringing up a child, now that a siginifcant number of them are 'career women' this is no longer the case.

Do you think they should get back in the kitchen do some scrubbing and spend time teaching/discipling their children?

dicuss...

yes but you do get chav children from respectable families. It is often the case where you have professional workers ie solicitors etc with nightmare children. seeing a trend here yet?

I think it's to do with choice of school and people who the kids associate with.

career women = more money coming into the family = live in a better area/better schooling = not chavvy.

IMO anyway. I agree you might get some bratty children from more well off families (from families with career women) but I doubt these are the ones hanging out in the streets and acting like Chavs.

I bet if you compared crime rates among teenagers in 'better areas' as opposed to those in 'worse areas' then you would see a huge difference.

Im not saying there wont be any problems, but those kids wont be the ones causing the real trouble that you see in all the papers, etc.

When she's at high school she'll be told to come straight home from school and get on with her homework until me & kat get home. Then we'll have tea and she can go out with 'respectable' friends assuming homework is done and bag packed ready for next day.

parents and police should be allowed to hit the little fuckers, theyll soon stop causing shit if they know theyll get a beating for it.
