Hi,

I'm going travelling in the summer and looking to take some sort of multi-tool with me. Do any of you have a leatherman or something similar? any other suggestions?

Cheers,

James

i own several leatherman tools, i personally prefer the 'wave' high quality tools, dont buy cheap, buy real leatherman and it will last forever

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Leatherman feels more robust than Gerber or Victorinox.
Don't get a pussy ass "juice" etc.
Get the big daddy ones

get a leatherman wave. they're the best. I use mine alot, though I don't keep mine on my belt at all times.(used to sell the most of 'em)
gerber are poo, poor copycats (were crap sellers)
Victorinox make, v.good pocket knives, I have mine on me constantly. but not as useful as a leatherman when travelling, also difficulties with customs etc are more likely with victorinox - according to punters.

Used to sell all this kit, any qvestions, ask away!

Have a look in your local costco.

Mine have Waves in atm and its significantly cheaper than even ebay.

Comes in a kit with a leatherman pocket knife.

I've got a Leatherman Charge Ti and it's a great piece of kit, probably one of the most used presents I've ever received

Thanks for all the replies. I've looked into the Leatherman Wave and this seems like the best one for me, as some people have suggested. Does anyone know how much they are in costco?
