That wont burn the house down. If it did then it would be a very bad product, or faulty.

Then it was probably heating back up again - my mums does that. Light on when heating up, light off when ready. It would have done that about 1,000,000 times during the day.

don't think i have ever nearly burnt the house down but our puppy did.

Had had a puppy for a bout a week so he was approx 14 weeks, collected him the day we moved in. ANyway after a couple of days we had got a new cooker and having used it one night we went to bed without switching it off at the wall. (electric btw) Anyway the next day we both went off to work and because the pup hadn't had his jabs he was staying at home.

I went home at dinner let him out etc etc and went back to work 1ish. When the gf came home at 4.30 she opened the front door to find the house full of smoke.

The dog had managed to jump up the cooker and turn one of the hobs onto no 6 (highest setting) Now it just happened to be the one ring that had got a metal baking tray, with two plates, plastic handled knives and forks, and some yoghurt pots on top, from the night before.

Well obviously the plates had shattered and the cutlery melted but luckily the cooker and house were fine.

Most importantly after a night at the vets on a drip the pup was fine too!

Heres the monster in question

I should add that we couldn't sleep in the house for 3 nights because of the smell of the plastic!
