Ive bought an x18xe1 bare engine & flywheel and need to pick it up from bradford.
My cars quite low but the guy assures me it can be transported in a small hatch back?
What are peoples thoughts?

If your worried about space,the rear seats come out with a T40 socket easy peasy - took me bout 10 mins to get them out! I got a full set of cali leathers in the back (seats out) as well so you mustbe able to get an engine in!

I have no rear seats, its the suspension im worried about as im lowered

easily pick it up in that, i picked up a c20xe, box, manifold etc etc, in my old nova, that was lower than that

Just go steady, i had a 350mile round trip to get a c20xe, the car handled like a boat lol

Was shitting myself if i had to break heavy as id get a whole engine taking my head clean off!

Ive got about 4 - 450 miles to go but after an encounter with a camera recently iv well slowed down!

Me and lee went for the XE in my gsi on speedlines with fk shocks and springs with no height adjusters on the rear. Was lower than a nats chuff.

Koni adjustables and 60mm springs on the back.

I had more trouble with the car being stupidly slow than it scrubbing.

just make sure tht the engine dont move arond as my m8 smashed his back window on his rover with an engine as he hit a big bump!! lol

Got a 20NE and box in the back of my old corsa, was lower 60mm too, was stupid low when engine was in, but apart from coolant leaking all over my boot(put some plastic sheet down) it was all good
