hey just thought i would let you all know that aldi are doin a cheap air compresser and air tools for all the budding d.i.y.ers seems pritty good

cos a 24litre tank at 2.5 hp is a very underpowerd little compressor

You need a hell of a lot more air to run tools like that than that compressor will provide. 8 bar isn't going to be enough to even un-do a wheel nut or engine mount, especially as a 24 litre tank will be empty in seconds when using most of those tools.

Never used a spray gun with such a small compressor so can't say.

My opinion would be that it wouldn't work too well, but I know people are sometimes pretty successful with compressors this size when painting small parts.

I agree with ed. I use a 5 hp compressor with much higher spec than that to operate small things such as my air hacksaw and small drill.

it is ok for those tools (just) but need something at least 2/3 times the size again for ratchets/airguns etc...
