can someone with 60mm lowering springs read out their code on them, or tell me the dimensions of them when not fitted. because ive come to fitting some -60mm gmax springs with standard shocks and they are too small to even fit with the shocks :S im guessing this means they are not 60mm but much smaller. they are about half the size of standard ones.

23cms in length when not fitted and 120mm shorter than standard ones when both not fitted.

how are they too small? the car will drop down and hold the spring in place with its weight.

no the plate at the top of the strut doesn't even reach the top of the spring.

the code on the spring reads GMAX 30VA 23L FRONT

but im guessing these arn't -60mm but much smaller

after putting the code in google ive found they are 60mm nova springs :S

i bought them from someone on this website who advertised them as corsa springs, and told me they were a direct replacement for my standard corsa ones.

should be no difference, nova stuff fits on corsa's fine... both used nearly identical suspension..

may be the fact that your using the springs with standard shocks that they dont reach the top etc

a 60mm spring for a nova will be alot lower on a corsa though? Won't it?

not that lower.....
probably 5 or so mm, used to have 60mm nova kit on my corsa, and it sat about the same as a 60mm lowered corsa

the real difference between the two is minimal.

corsa rear springs are around 250lb, nova rear springs are about 225lb

the nova ones will sit about 10-15mm lower on a corsa. the probable reason they dont fit is because you are fitting very low springs with standard shocks.
