Got my renewal quote through the door this morning and it was fooking ridiculous

SO After running a quote online it came out £300 cheaper. I phoned up, price got reduced, "sincere apologies Mr Mitchell"

Happy Again

Morale of the story...always run an online quote

Shittest thread of 2007...perhaps

They want £45 cancellation fee for the 489 quid policy so I can then spend the 380.

315 as I bought the car in 2005 not 2003 as I had originally indicated

£2 discount if I had have bought the car sooner

Even so, saved a bit of cash there

I just got my renewal!!! £895 on my 106!!! Fucking over the moon!!!

Was paying £1500!!!

That is a massive saving. I can't even be bothered to get a quote from else where, and definately keeping the lil puglet now.

Admiral & elephant always over inflate your renewal. Every year I cancel only to join back up online as a new customer........Ive been doing this for years & saved £££'s.

As soon as the renewal comes Stu I phone up to cancel, just say im shopping around & seen much cheaper elsewhere, give them a little lower than there online price, they cant match it so cancel goes ahead. Then I go straight onto their site & sign up as a new customer.

Elephant's website tries to get around this now by not allowing you to quote if you are an existing customer, so to get around this I just select insure a second car from the menu, that works.quotes a quote as long as they honour it & send through the paperwork!!

Tell you about insane quotes. On my 1.4 8v corsa, my first years (last year) insurance was £1800, couldnt get cheaper anywhere.

After gaining 1 years NCB, fitting an alarm and moving from birmingham to plymouth, my renewal this year?

£597
