I've been meaning to post the photos for ages and as i went home last weekend took photos of the family's other Vauxhall
a 1985 Nova!
unfortunately not on happier circumstances.
My brother is at uni and doesnt use the car during term time but needs it for the next week so Dad took it for a quick spin as it has been sat since Xmas. doing so he fills up with diesel rather than petrol (he drives a diesel C5)......spent all of yday afternoon emptying the tank!
please enjoy the photos - genuine 85K miles (been in the family 17yrs now when it was on 21K!)
and there is also a video.....worth watching about 90secs in as it get VERY smokey!

it looks like hes putting something else in the petrol tank there  
unlucky though, is it all sorted now then?

yeh all good, another 5 mins of smoking exhaust and it clearered out....suspect it will smoke a little until a fuel tanks worth have gone thru

yeah no worries, a mate of mine once half filled his tank with diesel, the other half being petrol, ran it through and it was alright in the end. it ran badly and smoked alot while it was still running the diesel through mind its an easy enough mistake to make though.

we spent about 2 hours with pipes and tubes emptying the tank, got 20litres out and the fuel gauge read empty. put 5litres in from a petrol can and started it, the diesel that burns is what was in the fuel lines!

dunno how, unless this nova has 2 petrol filler caps?? they are on drivers side remember, thats passenger side
