Right well I have had these HiSpec brakes sat in the garage for the past 18months or so... And yesterday (Sunday) my mate Nigel and I finally got round to fitting them!

Here is a pic of my corsa with the old brakes (Astra gte) Sorry these pics aren't very good but they kind of give you a rough idea:

And here are a few pics with the new brake kit on (excuse my dirty wheels but these pics were taken just after I'd gone out for a test drive!). They are a HiSpec 4pot kit with 300mm disks. They look so much better behind the alloys and they feel great to use too.

Constructive comments/opinions welcome?

They look very nice, but out of intrest would you not say its overkill for a car which would not normally see the benifits off, if you see what i mean

brakes can never be overkill. well unless they are 400mm carbon ceramic jobbies with 10 piston calipers

Nope def not overkill at all! Even if the car is only used for shows they look 500 times better than than the GTE brakes that were on there before!

Top mod!!!

My cars not used only for shows though I drive it everyday. Defo agree they are soooo much better than the gte ones though- looks wise as well as performance (even though they are still bedding in) Although the rear disk conversion now does look a bit shabby compared to the fronts now

Ah right, fair play to ya then!! It was just with the comment from JR saying the brakes were overkill and the fact that the car looks so modded that I thought it was a show machine!

Best mod I ever did on my old P1 was the 340mm front brakes and 330mm rears!

i use them on my track corsa.... good kit.

Hope they are cheaper to buy now as i paid 700-800 for them about 4 years ago when they first appeared :/

Make sure the bias is set up correctly as you have much more braking power at the front now.

on a side note.... DITCH the crap pads, HiSpec sell Mintex 1155's for an ok price. I'm sure its esither a lotus elise (early) fitment pad, or a volvo of some sort.

If you'd like i can prob find the part no's off a receipt for you.
