was driving my car around yesterday when it just started misfirng when is on idling, ther was no loss off performance or anything but also my heaters kept going cold so ichecked the water and top it up they came back, the engine isnt over heating or anything. im jst stumped in hat it could be
anyone help me out??
its a 1.4 16v

what do you mean you topped the water up?
did it need topping up? if so, probs head gasket, when mine went (took a while to start affecting car) first coolant was going low, for like a couple of months, slowly, sometimes a bit quicker though and nearly emptied expansion tank from being half full
later, engine started on 3 cylinders for about 30s as there was coolant in 4th pot, but car never over heated or anything. did compression test and it was the gasket
