I like it more than the Tom-Delonge-band album. Still WAY too 80's cheese for my liking though.

BRING BACK BOXCAR RACER!

Blink 182 = good
Boxcar = could have been better
Angels and stairways = shocking
Transpants = piss poor
+ 44 = not heard (but I bet they're worse than Bcar Racer)

FYI Travis was also in The Aquabats says it all.

Why couldnt they just have stayed with Blink 182 and recorded all the songs for Boxcar etc etc under Blink?

Angels and airwaves is fucking beautiful!! Boxcar is ace, transplants arent really my thing as i cant stand the dud from rancid's voice but i like the music!!

Id like to point out im actually obbsessed with tom delonge though, so it might be why i like it

Yes. And "The Fury of the Aquabats" is some of, if not his best playing EVER imo.

Seem them live? Why where they rubbish?

I think alot of people expected them to be like blink182/boxcar etc.

The whole point of it is he wanted to move away from that and do kind of fantasy timeless music rather than songs that will age quickly and be forgotten about.

I think its an awesome album and a clever idea, hes just grown up, whereas +44 is more of the same! (not that thats bad)

Yes Jambo, I saw Blink too but just before they split so they were pretty disappointing. Angels and Airwaves were supporting Foo's when I went so was'nt really bothered about seeing them but we watched anyway and they were just pants. Tom has gone all spiritual and wierd and was preeching about the war and shite. I'm sure there were loads there that loved it but me personally thought it was shit.

They got booed anyway so I was'nt the only one who did'nt like them.

Whats that mean? Either way it was the most disappointing gig ever, was supposed to see them ages before but they cancelled because of 9/11 so was really excited for when they came again but they could'nt be arsed.

Apparantly they split the night we went to see them.

I agree they were disappointing live; it means they're on "sabbatical", its half way to a split; but allows them to reform more easily.

Basically they're stringing out wether they've split up or not

Its good for that reason; "Romeo and Rebecca" is cool cause Tom Delonge is goes through being really, really bad at singing, to actually sounding really good!

Best song off each album IMHO:

Buddha - Romeo and Rebecca
Dude Ranch - Josie
Cheshire Cat - Carousel
Enema of the State - Adam's Song
M,T&T Show - Man Overboard
Take Off Your Pants & Jacket - Story of a Lonely guy
Blink 182 - Here's Your Letter
Greatest hits - Another Girl Another Planet
