you can get a kit from halfords i think, its £20, with the paint-in a few colours, a brush and brake cleaner.

quite a long process as you clean them. apply a layer. then let it dry and then you have to apply a second layer of paint on top of that.
looks good after tho!

Hammerite, £4.95 a tin or something cheap, repaint them whenever you need to, done mine three times and still loads left.

Did mine this morning using hammerite. Just used a wire brush to clean up the calipers and drums.
Managed to find a can of matt black and some gold in the shed so that saved me buying some Even if it was about ten years old it worked fine after a good stir

before

after

I did the hubs matt black as well as the drums at they were rusty.

I used Hammerite Smooth. Gave them a sand down first with a drill attachment then wiped over with white spirit.

Never had that happen to me. Only thing to remember is don't drive your car for a few hours - overnight if possible - if you've painted any spinning parts as you'll get a nice flecked effect inside your rims.

Heed the voice of experience.

I use hammerite for painting most things.
Once 100% dried it will be fine.
It stays on an exhaust manifold, so will stay on brake calipers etc fine.

always used hamerite. so long as you leave it to dry overnight. its absoloutly fine. pretty hard wearing to. its only like 5 pounds for smoothrite as well. so its a bargain and itll do your calipers 5 times over!
