Basically I need to design a simple hand-held, battery powered, and mass produced electronic product with, primarily, an injection moulded case.
It can be for:
Sports/Personal fitness (a device used to help promote personal fitness)
Pastimes (a device to assist a user in a hobby or pastime)
Domestic assistance (a device to make life easier or safer around the home)
But, I'm just really lacking in some new innovative ideas, anyone got any? Just make sure it wouldn't use a to complicated electronic circuit or an LCD screen.
So far I have something like a hear beat monitor which shows you using LED's which zone you're in (either Cardio, Fat Burning .etc) for runners .etc
Thanks.

vibrator
Sports/Personal fitness -- burn off last nights takeaway by using it on yourself.
Pastimes - get bored on your own, use this
Domestic assistance no need for a man to be around the home therefore its safer
ONLY IF YOUR A WOMAN THOUGH? i'd not suggest using a vibrator if your a guy lol.

a monitor that records heart rate, distance covered, steps, etc. for runners but can then also be plugged into your computer (usb) to keep track of your performance.
Maybe an MP3 player too aswell!

moving on from the gravy/fish tank temp, what about a baby tempature monitor? if it get too hot it beeps, if it gets too cold it beeps. simple circuit and small.
Though may need to be RF so person can move around house?
Im thinking too technical methinks!
