I'm intrigued as to why you booked it without knowing what there was to do there

Would the rush hour birmingham traffic affect the toll road?

I live in the next village to Bosworth.
It's around 40 minutes from Leicester City Centre.
There's a bit to do, but not much. You'll be staying at Bosworth Hall Hotel - which is 5 Stars.
There's a load of pubs arounf 100 yards from the hotel - The Red Lion, Dixie Arms, then there is The Black Horse (expensive restaurant) and King William. There is a restaurant in the square called Softleys which is also good.
There is also the best chinese takeaway I've ever tasted next to the chip shop. Its all in a small market square. there's a cash point at the HSBC there.
The Hotel is oppose Bosworth Park - which is nice for a walk. Lake with ducks etc. Down the road is Bosworth Battlefield and visitor centre.
If you get boared for things to do there is Fosse Park (Junction 21 of the M1) and Leicester itself - but other than that plenty of nice walks and footpaths around.

I stayed there last summer for 2 nights with my girlfriend - we claimed it was our summer country break, was really just a dirty weekend
There are a few restaurants in Market Bosworth itself, they are quite expensive though, few pubs too. The food wasn't too bad in the hotel, bit like a canteen though as it's a carvery - depends what your standards are.
We got the train to Nuneaton then a taxi in, was £20 for the taxi one way iirc. Leicester would have been closer but meant changing trains for 2 stops, so wasn't worth it.
We was there in the summer, so, the place looked lovely, not sure how entertaining it'll be in the winter rain though!
I totally recommend it to get away from it all though
I have pics. . .not of the dirty weekend bit though

Warrick Castle is nearby and is a quick trip down to Hinckley, M69, A45(?) around Coventry and down to Warwick.

I beg to differ really, was not 3 star, more like 4 though - at a push it is 5 star. Our room was pretty shoddy - the a la carte restaurant was merely everything they alternate on the carvery, served to you by waitresses.
Did see pictures of the wedding suites though that look pretty impressive.
The hotel also has a lot of grounds!

Apparently it is a 5 star hotel! When we went for a works training course the food we got definitely wasn't!
I think Market Bosworth helps it's cause as it gets a few tourists.
