Went driving some proper off road style stuff today with Lisa and my cousin Luke. Stupid early start, rain and snow and it was freezing cold, fucking ace!
Really odd technique to it, low gear, not touching the clutch, bit of power whilst braking with your left foot. Took a bit of mastering in the Defenders but really easy in the Pajero. The Mitsubishi made the Land Rovers look really old and over-complicated, there all amazing bits of engineering but the Pajero is so much easier to work with both on and off road.
I think the guy running it was a bit over cautious but its understandable considering he has £60k-£70ks worth of cars and he can only get 3rd party insurance! He also enjoyed getting over excited about shouting 'more gas!' and 'the clutch is your enemy!'  Still a great day tho, loads of driving and we had a good laugh

Ha the guy that runs that is well known and disliked round here
Last time he had one of his offroaders hanging from that crane someone cut through the rope
