Right I work for a large company which suffers it's fair share of buzz words and marketing lingo (I work within a marketing team doing market research), I've just been discussing with a mate some of the shitty buzz words people use to try and sound clever (mainly brought on by the natwest adverts). BTW ashamidly I have used the term blue sky thinking a few times
Our new boss is the best for this e.g. In the world of research the buzz words at the minute are around 'insight' and all the normal research terminology has been replaced (my boss is using anyway) here such as 'focus group' is now 'discovery group' or qualitative research telephone interview is replaced with 'insight dive' FPSML we try and link as many of these in one sentance during meetings and drop new things in during that we've just made up to see if people notice
'hospital ticket' - if someone elects to take a day off sick when they were meant to be doing a presentation, the stand in is handed a 'hospital ticket'
I really need to get a new job
Any others?

utilizing
quick thinking/multi tasking
deadline
conference calls
market research
"stressful day at the office" The fuck can it be "stressful" just sitting there and typing!

Agreed on most of it but you can have a stressful day if you work for a bunch of spoons who don;t know how long things take to do, I very rarely get stressed although this week I have been a little bit

Oh yes.... Buzz words are the best. Try doing a Product Design degree and avoiding them. We have to do a lot of presentation and sales pitch type things and some of the people who try to blag it use all sorts of crazt lingo. It makes me cringe.

I work in Marketing and we have "champions" instead of "poor saps roped into doing something they don't want to do" eg communication champion. Although our communication champions are all really unapproachable
oh and instead of administrators we have executives. it's all bullshit.

Sooo true mazin we have these for systems or anything down the bottom of peoples lists
HP - smoke and mirrors is used here too much aswell
Barnshaw, I will accept constructive feedback to anything I post but the words 'what a boring thread ' is a bit childish, I will reiterate the fact that if you have no interest why post at all?
I don;t go into posts about people moving house and post 'oh this is dull' what is the point?
