Iv got some Jenvey DTH boddies means you dont need to use an inlet manifold to do it right you need to budget at least £2.5k

I got my tb's for £600 2nd hand, around £600 for the Emerald ECU, £250 for mapping session then a rebuild of the engine depending on what extent you want to take it, but at least get a set of ARPs

In my experience either Jenvey Bodies with DTA or QED Direct to head with DTA. Not a fan of MBE Engine management at all, but you'll find thats all SBD supply I believe.

Was going to say the same.
Pick up a set of R1 carbs for about 50 quid, bogg bros manifold, get them to set it up for about £500 and spend about £1k on management fitted and set up.

ive got a set of honda fireblade carbs already that i was going to fit but im looking at about £1000-1200 to get all the parts i need and getting them set up, but if ive gotta spend that much then would rather get some 2nd hand tb's like the ones tomsbd was selling that are already set up

three options really:
1 SBD kit. well made and reliable but I dont like them as they arent as good as some other TB's and are expensive for what they are. I also hate the MBE management they come with and the linkage design.
2. Jenvey twin bodies. Best option, easy to set up due to idle control that is seperate to the butterflies and a well designed body. lots of spare parts available and follow the DCOE fitment pattern.
3. Bike bodies. Sometimes a lot cheaper but need a custom inlet manifold making up and are sometimes difficult to set up due to them not being designed for use on cars and sometimes not individually adjustable. parts can be difficult to scource such as trumpets etc... and wont give the same gains as option 1 and 2 due to the design of the body themselfes and the fact that the injector distance from the throttle plate and distance from the injector to valve not being ideal for the engine.
