Too easy to roll it at Brands going wide off the first bend, plus it can get v.messy if wrong. It's tempting, but I think I'll wait for castle combe in spring.

paul thats stupid, its easy to roll at any track, if your going wide at paddock you really shouldnt be driving

Not really, the dropping right turn combined with the kitty litter, causes cars to roll very very easily if they get it wrong.

It's not so much about you accidently going wide, it's more about someone else getting out of shape infront of you and causing you to go wide / sideways into the gravel trap... Which will instantly cause your car to roll.

Most tracks this is not the case, as you just slide off the track and stop on flat grass / tarmac.

Almost every time I've watched any racing at brands someone usually rolls in that gravel trap. Never witnessed a track day there, so no idea what it'd be like.

I'm definately getting more tempted though, spoke to my dad and he was like 'Everyone has to experience paddock bend at least once in their life lol' - Brands was one of the tracks he used to race on often, so he may even come with me / take it in turns driving.

Do we know how much the cost will be if there's 20 of us? each?

I've just had to pay out £153 for coil pack , £175 for tax, £615 for insurance and £394 for a heater matrix, so I'm not exactly flush with cash.

Will everyone be in the same group on track at the same time? whats max number out on track at any one point?

i belive the max number out on track is 20 or 25 paul

the cost will still be £155-£157 if there is 20 of us

depending on numbers, we will either be out in sessions due to expiriance, or if theres enough we will be out in our own session

Paul, i've been visiting Brands since i was 3, and I can happily say that only if your travelling into Paddock Hill and a silly rate of knots (of which no 106, saxo, corsa will be doing), your not going to roll it.

Firstly you need to be entering the gravel trap side on, and with paddock you have a bit of time to flatten the throttle should the rear end step out.

End of the day, you drive at the pace your comfortable with, and if yours is a slow pace your never going to have the momentum to hit the gravel trap let alone hit it sideways to roll it.

Most cars hit it, either bog down and get stuck or manage to to ride it and come out on the run uphill.

I've seen a LOT of accidents at Paddock, but not many rolling issues. I think your being a little paranoid about your own cars performance. Your not going to be stuck right up someones arse going round Paddock on a own car track day, your driving for fun, not racing.

Its a straight before the corner, just apply your braking a lot further down the straight.

Ive been to racing at brands about 10 times at least and never seen anyone roll there. There was a nasty accident in stock hatch last year there. Alot of people spin there and get out of shape, I know its a very testing corner, but all good fun.
