Depends what you want out of it I guess, I decided for a tuned XE. Preferance though at the end of the day, and budget.

I would say a TB'd XE would get traction down better than a LET TBH

The initial price on buying the engine is alot, the XE is a lot cheaper to buy. But standard the turbo has 204bhp, and it's so easy it increase it. I'm running evo3 software, with an uprated actuator and an XE inlet cam with FMIC and getting about 270-275bhp.

or you could go the route I went and tune the XE, I should have around 210bhp which is pretty much on the limit of usable power in a front wheel drive car, plus the added advantage of having no turbo lag and sudden rise in power, so you get better traction and more usable power. If its out and out speed/power you want though, then its cheaper to get the LET tuned to silly figures, Horses for courses. Including a full rebuild, I think it's cost me just over £3,000 for the XE, and I bought the TB's second hand.

ive had a xe on TB's and driven a Let
to me the xe was good to start with but i found boarding to drive had to be ragged everywhere to go anywhere where as the let was sooooo much more fun to drive and required less effort hence why im going Let
