at the moment ive got my car down 40mm with wheels of an offset of et42, it rubs slightly when i go over big pot holes but only when i have a passenger in the front seat! im planning taking these wheels off and putting them on my next corsa and then lowering that 60mm but im scared its going to be rubbing constantly! would i be ok if i removed the two top bolts that hold the arch on and maybe file the plastic lip back a little!
I have some cav gsi wheels sitting in the garage but dont have any tyres and are in need of a a slight refurb! im tempted to get some tyres and use these but have only recently bought the other wheels which cost me 460 quid, would seem like ive wasted my money, so im asking for solutions realy!

sorry for the essay, Jay

Mine are et38. Lowered 60mm all round. Remove the bolts and the studs and mastic your arches on. I even gave them a little tap with a hammer to flatten them out. Be careful if you attemp hammering them. Mine don't rub even with 5 people in. Although i've got falken tyres on the back which have that funny lip on them.

Yes try removing the bolts. You may need to cut down the bolt/stud bit as well. Nothing major though.
