My apprentice is after buying a new car , he has about 8k to spend and he likes the new 1.2 corsa. do they still do free insurance? hes 17

1.2 models have a deal on where you pay £399 to cover you for the period of the finance or 3 years.

Its differant for each dealer
If he's thinking about getting one he'd be better getting one online & pay for the insurance himself with the money he saves

Yup unfortunately. And he'll have to pay his insurance in full, he won't be able to pay it monthly.
If he wants a Corsa, he's better off getting a C nearly new from a dealer with warranty remaining.

Hes 17, so imo i wouldnt buy a brand spanker for a first car.
As loads of people said to me, get a shitter, you might bump it a few times etc, and then when you learn how to drive properly, get something a bit nicer.
8k for a 17 year old is good though!
Wish i had that amount for my first.
