is there anywhere that does this? i.e shows wether a car is taxed or not by putting in the reg number?

Car was eing driven around for a while by a lad that lives near me, drives like a complete tit.

then the car didnt move for a few weeks, found out that he had been sent to prison for burgling a neighbours house (old woman in her 80's)

then today I hear a car screetching round the corner, past my house and handbraking to a stop accross the road. I ran out of the house and went over to the car but he had dissapeared, hes been driving with 2 flat rear tyres as well noticed it wasnt taxed so probably not insured or anything else either.
