Sorry for the crap picture but it says: The german driver was showing off his £100.000 motor to friends when it burst into flames after he switched on his ignition. and he burst into tears as his pride and joy was engulfed by fire and destroyed. fireman chris fogarty said: the poor man was absolutly distraught. but there was nothing he could do. the unnamed owner drove his 575 maranello from germany to blackburn lancs after mates begged him to see it. now they know he really has got a set of hot wheels!

if something got seriously hot and made its way to plastic of some sort. maybe! but a £100,000 ferrari shouldn't go up in flames just like that anyway. i'm sure it'd have to be a 1 in a billion chance that turning your ignition would cause the car to catch fire.

i bet after buying a £100,000 car then paying for the insurance, he was broke and had to get some bodge jobs done from a few cowboys down his local backstreet garage.

Mate, it just takes 1 12v wire to have the slightest break in it's insulation for a spark to be created. Petrol is funnily enough flamable. Or, by the looks of things a wiring loom could have caught fire looking at the location of the main part of the fire.

Gap Security pretend to wire in alarms - they don't actually connect any of the wires though. You have to finish off the job fir them if you actually want the alarm wired in....

That never happens. You'd have to have a really really shit insurance policy to not get European cover.
