Corsa hands down....I did one by a long shot on the quarter and they have quite a poor 0-100 time.

straight line it will be close. but through bends etc... I have seen the 180 gti's and they are rather nifty.

Not close I pulled away from my mates one from a rolling start on the m25...not going to say what speeds we got up to but from the slip road and by two junctions he was a fair gap bahind me.
He was pretty upset he'd spent 16k on it to be honest and sold it withing 3 months.
They do 0-100 in around 24 seconds where as a Valver can easily do it in around 18-20 secs.
Put it this way in the EVo road test it lost to everything in its class!
nice interior though!!!

Agreed but this is not the track and when people actually realise they are not on the track but public roads and quite possibly never race or drive fast on the twistys their comments are pretty irrelevant.
In simple terms and Corsa is quicker end of.

They're quick cars.
I had a play against one back and mine pulled away slightly.
Bare in mind, we're talking about straights and, not bends.

got to be quicker than that to 100
Mine and CTR do 0-100 in 16.1 secs so it can't be another 8 seconds behind

I had a run in with one on the motorway a few weeks ago and there not as fast as i thought, he was trying to over take me but he couldn't so i let him get beside me and i could still pull away and mine is a standard xe just has an exhaust nothing special.
