i've just got a Corsa Sport 1.4, but when i turn the headlights on the console doesn't light up (heaters etc). Are they meant to light up or not? if they are what sort of bulbs are needed or could it be the fuse?

Nope, the heater bulbs are a load of toss. they come on with the ignition (so all the time). They have probs blown. Its a right sod of a job to get them out, but it has been done.
