the pipercross XL turned up today waiting on some smoked side reps as the ones i got didn't fit. Also fitted the smoked rear lights:

De-badge the boot mate! Also a post 97 boot handle and badge would looks 100 x better, heres one on my old GSi



just makes hell of a diference, got the paint from vaux about £5 for 2 rattle cans 1x colour and 1x laquer, colour match was perfect, dead easy to do.

how easy are the handles to pick up? and are there any marks left from debadging?

got mine new from the dealer as they come ready to paint, bout £7 i think, badge is about the same again if not a little more.

nope not if your careful, best to heat up the badge first using a hair dryer (makes the glue soft) then gently pull the badge away starting at one end.
you may find the badge comes off and leaves the foam sticky stuff, again just heat this up and it rubs off quite easy.
takes a bit of time but is definely well worth it at the end.
id give it a polish / t-cut after all the glue etc is off just so you dont notice where the old badges were - you'l see what i mean!

That exhaust looks very very simlar to mine, is it a peco bigbore 2 by any chance? if it is then you got no chance of getting it straight. I think its a universal exhaust because mine does'nt even have proper brackets that hang on the rubbers. Shit exhausts but sound OK with a airfilter.

lol look on the silencer, it will say PECO 2 in yellow writing.. i think, mine says it but its all faded cos its old now

Looks like its coming along nicely


Really love that colour too

Cutting out the grille on those bumpers isnt too hard really. I did it on mine and i think it look 10x better now. Not really noticable that its cut either if you do it neatly

You need to get rid of tht ECOTEC cover in the engine bay mate, they just don't look right for modified motors.
