Apparently the 3.0si is a better car - more comfortable on longer journey etc.

BMW Car Mag (who don't seem biased at all) love the M versions but when it cam to driving a long way, they chose the 3.0si, much more comfortable, refined and a lot less back ache etc apparently.

I have to agree though, I saw a soft top with added hard top and it looked nice.

the facelifts (if anyone has noticed) are much nicer than the originals.
