were u expecting VTEC like powers ?

On the serious side, and induction kit wont give u massive gains, if at all.

It wont make much difference, imo they just make the car worse unless it gets a Re-map to understand why there is more air.

I had a Pipercross on mine when i got it, could only hear a sound difference at 6k, which isnt very good for the car, took it off and replaced with standard box and filter.

Simple to fit mate, i doubt you made a mistake.

Take out airbox, and stick K&N on the end of the loose pipe that goes to the throttle body. Simple.

Should be alot louder when the throttle is open.

reset ECU (disconnect battery for an hour) and it will adjust to more air coming in.

As for the noise, what engine is it on? on my XE corsa i had a K&N cone from a 1.8 eco vectra and the roar!!!!! was great. Changed it in the end for a viper as the heatsoak was causing hesitation at low speeds.

imo induction kits dont really do much if anything apart from change the note of the sound, it also gives flatspots.

I just have it because i like the noise and ive lost my standard air box

it should reset it and then it will go back into learning mode for iirc 250miles then it will get used to more air coming in from the filter.

To be honest dont expect much more than noise from the filter, it may make the car more responsive but not a gr8 deal. Fit an exhaust with the filter and again it will be more responsive.

Thats what i thought! Unless its a 1.4 16v they generally don't offer a lot from my experience.

apiro forza...

thats what i want on my corsa. Had one ages ago, really gutted i sold it. IMO better than any open air K&N or green filter.

Apiro forza is an induction cone air filter but only lets in cold air via your ducting.
