This is not meant to cause offence to anyone got sent it by email and I agree all ppl coming to this country should fit in with our lifestyle..
Subject: I think this sums it up.
After many cities not wanting to offend other cultures by putting up Xmas lights.
After hearing that the Birmingham council changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her face covered.
After hearing of a Primary School in Birmingham where a boy was told that for PE they could wear Football League shirts (Aston Villa, Birmingham, West Brom etc) but NOT an England shirt as it could offend others !
This prompted the editorial below written by a UK citizen. Published in a British tabloid newspaper.
IMMIGRANTS. NOT BRITON'S, MUST ADAPT.
Take It Or Leave It.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on London, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits.
However, the dust from the attacks has barely settled and the "politically correct" crowd begin complaining about the possibility that our patriotism is offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who
is seeking a better life by coming to Britain. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
This idea of London being a multicultural centre for community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britons, we have our own
culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of wars, struggles, trials and victories fought by the untold masses of men and Women who laid down their lives and one of the millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! "In God We Trust" is our National Motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as
your new home, because God is part of our culture. If St. George's cross offends
you, or you don't like " A Fair Go", then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.
We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.
But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great British freedom,
"THE RIGHT TO LEAVE".
If you aren't happy here then P*** OFF! We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted. Pretty easy really, when you think about it. I figure if we all keep passing this to our friends (and enemies) it will also, sooner or later get back to the complainers, lets all try, please.
No matter how many times you receive it... please forward it to all you know.

I agree that immigrants need to adapt to our way of life, etc. etc.
BUT also think that the majority of this trouble is being caused by white pollitically correct mad people who think they are doing ethnics a favour but just seperating them more and more from society.

What is even the point of having a picture on your license if it doesn't feature your face?
Might aswell have a picture of a dustbin, or Dennis the menace for all the use it's gonna be.
She shouldn't be allowed to drive if she hasn't even got the intelect or common sense to not have her wardrobe and lifestyle dictated to her by a group of madmen.

Myself being of Pakistani ethic origin totally agree with mav in terms of fitting into the lifestyle learning to speak english and not putting themselves in one corner of society.
In my opinion its a total load of shit people comin to the UK from all over the world and not learning english im glad the new test coming in march will weed these people out of the UK who are just a stress on the systems set up in this country. People need to intergrate into the society that is here. Cosmo is right the more that politicians do to separate makes them more of a target to others.
In regards to the Piss off back home part if you consider if everyone of non english origin packed up and went home including irish the UK would be short of alot of workers and due to the amount of asian doctors i would believe the NHS would be severely affected and the polish workers filling the manual labuor gap in the UK.
And Adam d in terms of fighting in the war i would like to state that it may not be as well documented but alot of troops other than british died infact Russian troops virtually commited suicide at stalingrad in order to stop the Nazi's and many other nations were involved not to just keep Britian free but to protect other nations aswell.

you are right except the polish manual workers. me and several colleagues got muscled out of our jobs and replaced with poles on £5.40 per hour (over £3 less an hour than i was on). once they had the foot in the door they got lazy and no i hear the company never meets it targets like it used to

jay kay, -- i was making a generalise-ation, there are a lot of stuf im not 100% on i know sweeping comments like that aren't great but it was to give a gist of how i feel
i have no problem with ppl being of any origin working here, i get on fine. but im british and expect to speak british at least. when im dealing with ppl who cant string a scentenece together i havent the patience, i may be ignorant but thats the way i am.
and as for the nhs and doctors etc i agree there is a very mixed race and all get on together and i wouldnt be where i am today without them, i am gratefull for that.

the British started it, they shouldn't have colonised other countries...

ps that was just a joke but... reality ...

That is not true and illegal as all women who wear a veil must have a photograph of their face on thier ID either passport or license. As stated in law and cannot be changed by a council as law changes must be done by the House of Lords or Parliment

Ive had a quick search and have not found any information on this either as i live in birmingham and am very suprised i havent heard about this.
Topshot very sorry to hear about the Polish and as for support your own there was only Iran in the world cup and they werent really selling the shirts so i guess you cant blame em for buying england shirts
adam-d - no worries
