This morning had the diblas flowmaster fitted

now i can hear a ticking sound coming from somewhere in the engine bay

its not tappets or anything like that as this morning when i drove down to have it fitted with standard air box not a single noise

now i've got this ticking noise not a happy chappy £178 for the flowmaster

thing is the flowmaster has improved the car no end just could do with out this noise

they have fitted it to the engine mount, nothing is loose or causing it to knock against anything

any ideas

on the diblas website it shows one fitted and also a member on ccuk has one fitted like this:

mine is different its on the engine mount thats how its secured down not moving around or knocking anything

would it make any difference that its been fitted to engine mount would that cause the noise you think?

someone has mentioned the 'mass air flow meter'

would that make a ticking noise if needed replacing?

I would suspect something is knocking,

what about that black pipe up my the top mount? is that secure? I wouldnt strap anything down to the engine mount as it moves about with acceleration.
