Tried polishing it today, came alot better than it was before. I'll get it painted oneday

have you tried using very fine wet 'n' dry?
then some metal polish will bring it up a treat

Argh! I havent thought about wet 'n' dry, i'll keep that in mind!
I used metal polish on it today. I use it on my exhaust to get all that black suit off

Use Emery Cloth's to start with then work your way through the Wet & Dry grades. Then metal polish it and should come up nicely!
This is a VR6 inlet after wet and dry but before it was polished
