Whats needed to get this engine up to 225bhp as in the Leon???

Correct me if im wrong but are they 180bhp standard??

yeah they are 180bhp.

To get one up to 225bhp you would need:

-KO3S turbo
-Downpipe + race cat
-Exhaust
-Remap

To get a wee bit more, add a FMIC.

Thought the R's come with a K04 turbo? (the bigger more tuneable one) why would you want to change to a Ko3??

Nope. The Ibiza Cupra and Ibiza Cupra R come with a K03.

The Leon Cupras come with a KO3S, and the Leon Cupra R's have a K04.

Thats why Ibiza Cupra's and R's both remap to 200bhp from stock.

How much are we talking about here 1k-ish??? Are these much quicker than the leon cupra r after these mods??

£250 -KO3S turbo
£300 -Downpipe + race cat
£300 -Exhaust
£500 -Remap

The ibiza will be lighter, so quicker.

If you fitted a FMIC (£600) too you could probably see 250bhp. The standard SMIC can't take the boost/heat.

You wont see 212 from a revo remap with everything else on the car standard.

Quite often Revo'd cars make only 180bhp, as the standard SMIC cant take the amount of boost Revo requests.

So the best thing to do would be to get

- Bigger turbo
- FMIC
- Remap
- Exhsaust
- decat

To see 225 bhp......sounds good.

Any dealers for the remap that are recommeneded??

no decat, just a race cat. they have pre and post lambdas so need the CAT.

Jabba are good for custom mapping.

Revo only do generic maps.
