How long is the straight? what gear are they in?
I think it would be close, but I reckon the Astra would, purely due to the torque advantage.
My Corsa was slower than my brothers 2.2 Vectra in gear, so I reckon the Ashtray would beat the Nova in this case.
Why?

I know a x/c16xe with throttle bodies should be as quick as a std 2.0 - less torque but less weight, but im guessing with a 8v it would be similar, so id say it would be very very close, nothing at all in it!!!
Ive not helped at all have I

cant find the longer vid, but it hammers the astra, and every other car on the track for that matter, its one very well set up nova.
