what i was thinking, every repair will have to be 110%, also you cant seal any seams or do any rust protection, as that will show

cant see how it will work TBH

every dent will have to be a bare metal finish which is ok until u get to abit that is double skinned etc unless u have access to a pin puller, even with this equipment doing damaged on a bare metal finish will take ages and prob not be poss on the whole car..

Plus if you use normal laquer it will peel straight off.

Its the RAT look, the dints give it character! Yeh there's a few already, the lacquer we've got is sticking, already tried it. It's only going to be like this for a while, something different that'll stand out! It'll be resprayed two tone, poss silver with a black roof like this....

Right the caddy is mine and ryk is helping me etc etc.. the caddy will look fine with it been bear metal with a laquer and its never been done before so it will be original and totally vw style... bumps dont matter because they fit in with the style its like welding patches they dont matter because of the style that were going for! the laquer sticks and doesnt peal straight off becuase its been tested and it dont need a special grit polish because if its been tested it obviously works! come on how many caddys do you no that will look anything like this?!

Laquer does peel off bare metal. It doesn't etch into bare metal. It will rust from underneath.
