Old bloke at work is selling his Ford Escort XR3i, 1992-K plate, had it since brand new, 3,000 (genuine) miles on the clock.
Do you think I should buy it from him?
He says he'll let it go for whatever someone offers him.

105 or 130?
They're slow and rot like buggery.

A mint XR3i would be worth £2k+ I should imagine. So even if you buy it for buttons, and don't like it, you could make a good profit.

Not a 92k plate one Eck, they're worth pennies anyway.
An RS2000 will only cost you 1500 or so, you wouldn't want to pay more than a grand for an XR3i.

Hmmm, 1500 maybe, if it is definitely genuine and the car is mint.

Apologies but still, if he is going to accept any offer, and it only has 3k on the clock, you will easily make a profit

Definately! 3k!? Thats bloody low. I imagine you could sell it for at least 3k with that mileage probably more.

I would question why someone would let a car go so cheap...
