Some of you may know about my old mr2. I returned it to the dealer and swapped the car for a saxo.

Should it be his responsibility to send off the v5 for the mr2 or is it mine

He took the v5 off me though because with it being a dealer he had to put his vat number down

Your only meant to give him the traders slip & fill in the main part with the new owner details & send it off!!

If you look at the V5 you have for the saxo, on the right hand side there is a tear off strip to give to the dealer if you 'transfer the vehicle to the motor trade'.

Then you fill in the rest of the v5 with his details, and send it off to the DVLA yourself.
