Right well this is a bit of an odd one for you all but basically this car owns to my family and my grandad has it in storage but i am looking at getting it down here.

All i know about it is that it is roughly a 1921 vauxhall and it is the only one in the world with this body on, also i believe that it is the only one in the world with the hand as the indicator on the second pic.

It was offered to my great grandad i think as we used to own a big vauxhall garage in Glasgow and he bought it and it was used as a family wedding car and kept in our showroom for many years untill it was sold around 10 years ago.

It has a wooden chassis and it was orginally Grenn but now its yellow but its showing its age and is which it needs to be in a sealed bag because of the wooden chasie.

I havent been to my grandad about the car yet as he is the one who knows most about it but i wana ask him about it and basically if anyone had any info or knows what it is then i would be very gratefull.

Bought my Corsa from this garage and yeah same as mark, remember it sitting at the front pride of place, as the garage is on a corner at the traffic lights.

yeah it then went into a corner where sadly it sat for a few years out of place, it was orginally green and then it got painted yellow for some unknown reason and that started to flake so it was hidden away.

The main worry we have is the wooden chassis which is holding up cosidering its age, its also very un reliable!

That is a Vauxhall 20/60 R Type.

From 1928 to 1931 there was a one model policy imposed on Vauxhall by the new owners and this led to the 495, 2762cc seven main bearing six cylinder pushrod 4 speed R-Type 20/60 in 1927. The R-Type was still a Luton design but the Detroit influence was evident with cost effective Delco-Remy coil ignition, Borg and Beck clutch, Oakland-type rear axle, pressed steel instead of alloy castings, cast iron pistons and artillery wheels. The Luton influence was more typified by brakes with 132 components between the cable and the shoe, complicated internal oil pressure circulation and a complex king-pin design which required 14 lathe operations during manufacture. C E King was charged with the responsibility of the R-Type design and various external body makers augmented the factory body design.
