Read that book by allen carr!! Just try to remember all the benefits you get by stopping, and realise that you actually aren;t missing out on anything at all by giving up. I only had cravings for about 2 days while the physical withdrawal was there, but they dont last long at all, and then after that its just your mind being stupid cos you think you miss it.

and mate, it seriously stinks I smoked from the age of 14 to 21 when i gave up last year, and i really cant stand the smell of it now. Another incentice is that if you give up of your own accord now, you wont be forced to (or at least feel more pressured to) when the smoking ban comes in

Funnily enough, that's one thing that is always in the back of my mind, but never a good enough reason to stop.... the reasons for stopping are more short term... like out of breath and stuff like that...

If you get what I mean

ha ha, my boss now hates me... cos everyone in the building on this side smokes we decided it would be better in the winter to allow smoking in the office, we have big extractor fans so it's ok... and there are only 2 people per office...

I came in today and shoulted NO SMOKIN in the offices from now on, anyone found doing so will be punished!

Boss has been outside most of the day freezin his tits off but it's good that people are respecting my wishes and not blowin smoke in my face all day

I smoked about 20 roll ups a day, if i was on the town, 40 in a night, which wasn't good. I always smoked when i was bored or had a few mins on my hands and began to loose intrest in the enjoyment of a good drag!

Last tuesday i thought feck it, had enough and ive not touched one since. Been to the pub, around mates who smoke and ive managed to not have a drag.

Dont get me wrong, sometimes i just think, why cant i smoke, then i think how far ive come and it would be pointless starting again.

The say going to pubs and being around smokers a.s.a.p when you have quit is a good idea, real tester for you.....if you get that out the way, your made!!

I've found it a lot easier than i thought, smokey areas dont bother me like i imagined, only because by my standards ive come a long way, although be it just a week. You look on that and realise you'd be stupid to even start again.

Its all driven by the brain after 24-48hours of having a fag as the body has no nicotine left in it apparantly.

Cold turkey, way forward for me. Going well so far.
