Unplugged battery bla de bla,now the radio says SAFE.

Enterd the code in the manual witch i then discovered is wrong,Vauxhall supplied the wrong car pass with my GF's car!

So now i have the correct code but i cant get it entered in.

It says 7 SAFE and i cant get it to go onto the - - - - part to type the code in.

Why is this?i done it the other day pressing the AS button etc,

could someone post up proper instruction on how to do it
