Ok plan to delock and dewiper my boot but was wondering how bad it is to see out the rear windscreen especially without the rear wiper and with the current weather. Do mudflaps make a big difference?
Any info would be good. Cheers J B

I would hate not having a rear wiper.
Night + rain water + car headlights = annoyance. It's bad enough as it is.

Yeah this is my problem, I use my wiper all the time. Has anyone ever heard of a sort of water runoff coating? I guess like scotchgaurd for glass!?

i have smoothed boot and although it looks good in bad weather the window gets really hard to see out of even with mud flaps, but worth the hassle i say. i just give it a wipe everyday when its dirty

yeah i sprayed the lights myself, prefer them to lights that cost you 100 quid insteda 12 quid for a spray can!
at first i had the bottom black, then the red strip, then dark red at the top, is good

I have my boot smothed etc, rain doesn't bother me spoiler tends to keep the top of the back window clear compared to the rest anyway lol.
But it's not so bad you can still see lights behind you or cars etc.
Just takes time to pick up on it

I'm getting along fine without mine and I've got semi-smooth. If anything, just ensure you keep the demisters attached and working.

Do the demisters get warm enough to move the water if that makes any sense?

haha yeah, does on mine, thought of that after I wrote it. Heated mirrors get really hot though - every put your hand near one? You can feel the heat coming off.
Heated screen is a huge load on the battery though.
