especially from cold, gets better when they are warm but never completely goes away...
Discs have only done 1k if that, were motorfactor jobs not GM parts is this why?
Broke them in ok drove progressively for 200miles and didnt go above/brake over 80mph
Any clues?

Probably unrelated but could be disc corrosion, I had similar noises on my golf and it was down to this.

Just woke up properly fom my lunch break, did you get pads and discs, once heard dad saying that they mate to each other and you should replace both at the same time?
If that makes sense, If not I'll go back to sleep

That could be your downfall mate, Sometimes cheap is good but i think in your case it might have backfired.

thought that happened when they get full of brake dust?? you dont need to take them of just blast them all round the disk with a compressor if you have one, loads of sh1t will prob come out? not sure if its the only reason brakes squeek but i know if defo causes them to.

i no this sounds daft but check if your guard (heatshield) behind the disc is touching the disc cause i had a similar squealing noise for bout a week in ma corsa before i noticed the guard was bent and touching on the disc.

Give the discs a file down with a clean file and get some disc brake cleaner to clean the actual disc - always use clean rags etc, as it sounds like your discs are contaminated. Used to get the same problems on mountain bike hydraulic disc brakes all the time.

Ah. Disks and pads for the v6 which are slightly larger are around £50 from Vauxhall.
Did you fit them yourself? Could be an issue with no grease being used on the back of the pads.
