Need two new fronts for the Gsi.

Had Falken Fk452s on it, not impressed by them

Looking at either Uniroyal Rainsport 1s, coz I know M6RKK has them on his Corsa Gsi and they seem pretty

Remember hearing good things about Avon ZZ3s as well.

Anyone had any experience of these tyres or any other makes to recommend??

Size is 215/40/17 btw.

rainsports are amazing in the wet, but nothing special in the dry. If you do mostly dry miles or dont drive quick in the wet than i suggest goodyear eagle F1's.

I find them fine in the dry. the goodyear F1 is a good tyre, not as good as the rainsport in the wet. the F1 is about £30 a tyre more than the rainsport though.

more to do with the tyre compound than the tread pattern.

Barum may well be an old Conti tread pattern, but Linglong are an old Yokohama pattern.

Barum ARE shite.

You get what you pay for, more expensive tyres will perform AND last longer, 90% of the time.

Thats odd you found the 452s bad as a lot of the MR2, Skyline and Evo peeps use them.

My mate has a Galant V6 and he has jusrt had 4 new Fk452s fitted as he heard a lot of good things on the owners forums.

Had them on about 6 months and they are knackered already, never felt 100% safe under hard cornering with them.

Best tyres I had were the Conti Premium Contact 2s, but they too expensive ATM unfortunately.
