"Exciting new developments for PV 2007
In the first of what we hope to be many exciting developments for the Performance Vauxhall Show 2007, taking place as usual at Santa Pod on Sunday June 3rd, we are delighted to announce that the Vauxhall Team qualifying for Ten of The Best will take place at the PV Show. Team Manager Chip posted this over at the VauxSport forum (www.vauxhallsportforum.com) where most of the TOTB team happenings will be posted, along with plenty of other Vauxhall related stuff.
"The final qualifying for the team this year is going to be held at the Performance Vauxhall show.
A special session will be run in the afternoon for ONLY the TOTB entrants.
10 cars max will be allowed, and each car will get 4 runs to post a final qualifying time for the event.
A fantastic chance for the potential entrants to show their cars off in front of the crowds too.
A stand will be set aside for the TOTB contenders with good access to the track, and all qualifiers will get a limited edition Team T-Shirt to clearly identify the runners.""
Whos going to be running there cars then

It will be done in advance mate, not on the day, as they will all need to be allocated parking on the stand and car passes etc.
I will name the 10 people i feel are best in with a chance of qualifying who have applied on here and are able to run that day basically mate.
To make that decision i will base it on:
Previous form
Spec of the car and what it *should* be able to do
Please rest assured though in terms of the "thats not fair i could have qualified if only i had been picked" that other people CAN still run on the day too and post qualifying times, or at events prior to this.
It is NOT the only time available to qualify, its merely the last time available to qualify.
If someone else runs a 11.5 the weekend before, that WILL still count.
So its perfectly possible that out of the 10 doing this final qualifying only 3 of them end up in the team if 2 others have already made it.
Its as much a chance for people who *nearly* made the team to still show their cars off as anything else too mate

TOTB means ten of the best? Yeah?
10 people max are allowed to take part in qualifying? So surely everyone would qualify? 
Either that or Im not thinking straight

I'm hoping to have a 2.0 by then so my car will probably break down on the way if teething problems arn't sorted

TOTB by redline i presume, so a few vaux's, possibly not 10. unless i'm off the boil to!!!

read the bit just posted by Ste L, it says that this is not the only qualifying for the event, its the LAST qualifying, so not only these cars can get selected for the vaux team, its merely another chance for some people to enter, and i presume to promote the vaux entry and get some support behind them

Future Publishing publish Total Vauxhall & Redline, I'm not sure what bearing they have on PVS though.

its standing 1/4 mile, top speed, handling
but i was referring to the 1.4mile as this the category that is been qualified for at pvs
