They certainly make impressive gains on paper if you consider the turbo figure over the naturally aspirate one.

Do you know the spec of this car? Internals etc?

So he's more than doubled his power output using bolt-on mods. This could be a long one

Reading the thread on CCUK, it would appear that he's planning a little more than bolt on mods to get the extra 90bhp

'Internal work' and 'a new turbo' are on the list.

Independant RR, people can't argue with the figures as much now. The issue was that Regal RRd the first one, so no-one was sure if the figures were legit.

so these results too are likely to be correct, most 1.8 will only have had a panel filter exhaust, a few had remaps from chippedUK

1. Simon - Corsa 1.8 sri Turbo - 255.9 bhp (9.5 psi boost) (213 lb ft torque)
2. Wayne - Corsa 1.8 sri Turbo - 202.1 bhp (6 psi boost)
3. James - Saxo VTS (actually was a corsa with a poor looking body kit!) - 145.9bhp
4. Phil - Corsa 1.8 Sri - 145.5 bhp
5. Teri - Corsa 1.8 sri - 142.8 bhp
6. Justin - Corsa 1.8 sri - 142.1 bhp
7. Ross - Corsa 1.8 Sri - 141.9 bhp
8. Holly - Corsa 1.8 sri - 137.4 bhp
9. Chris - Corsa 1.8 sri - 135.9 bhp
10. Perry - Astra 2.0 sri - 134 bhp
11. Matt - Corsa 1.7cdti sri - 122.6 bhp (226.4 lb ft torque!)
12. Tariq - Corsa 1.7cdti sri - 115 bhp (206.4 lb ft torque)
13. Rob - Corsa 1.4 Sxi - 103.5 bhp
14. Alan - Corsa 1.2 Sxi - 86bhp

Astra 2.0 SRi is bang on book figure, and the 1.4 seems about right if it has an exhaust and filter.

No reason why the figures wouldn't be right, especially with the EA dyno.

I think its been said before but the figures for the 1.8s look a bit high. As I remember a few cars recorded the 140ish with only the map and no other mods?

Are those the Regal figures?

Also had a look around the rest of the site - thought I had accidently clicked back on CS when I opened this link

The 140bhp 1.8s were getting 150 at ChippedUK's in-house dyno.

don forget we are talking 100bhp extra on a 1.8 engine which already has larger valves, larger capacity, larger inlet etc.

the 1.2 16v valve still made an extra 100bhp? give or take 10

imo this is more believeable than the 1.2 affair
