I wanted to get some 17's but was told that I wouldnt be able to lower the car if I did; although there were a nice set with an offset of 45. I didnt fancy a 4x4 so I am now thinking of 16's. Basiclly, if I get some 16's with the correct offset, would I be able to drop it 60mm without constant rubbing? Looking at shocks and springs obviously. Anyone got any pics of 16's down 60mm? Thanks

60mm on 16`s will be ok if you get the correct offset wheels, Get some Speedlines or Softstars, these are 16`s and have an ET of 49

Cheers everyone. Seems like the best option as 17's with no lowering would be shite!

You can get 17's on your car. Lowering 40mm will be fine as long as u do a few arch mods

Thats my car, the wheels are et45 (i think) possibly et42

Nice car. When you say a few arch mods, do you mean DIY things or bodyshop? If so what? Sorry to be a nuisance!

mine is -70mm on 17s but witha wide arch kit.. but with corsa C sri (i think 16 inch alloys, with 45 offset) i could get it minus 70mm on standard arches with no work at all. never ever rubbed neither.

There DIY mods.

on the front i just debolted the top two bolts and then used some masik (bodyshop glue) to replace the bolts
On the rear i trimed the metal with a jigsaw and debolted the top 3 bolts (in red) and them jus glued them back on where i needed

Lol. I think you should get some of the replica ones like Rob B's old car would go with the keeping of the plastic arches. But your rite they do transform any car
