how much would u budget for a let engine conversion in a corsa b pre 97??

just outta curiousity, like cost of engine and box, servicing parts and minor rebuild parts/ converison kit with diy fitting....

im quessing u could buy the engine and box for less than 1k

conversion kit.... ??

intercooler?

service parts say 500

plating engine bay etc and seam welding i can do myself...

any help appreaciated...

You would be lucky to get the engine and box for under a grand mate. What box though? F28?

really want a turbo corsa, was considerin a 2.0 8v turbo conversion but at 1200 to convert it prob better just to buy a let altho they r not very common here...

my engine stands me at £260

i built an S reg sxi LET for £500 (or im on with building should i say) will stand me at that price

i would insist on using the mtech kit so i know that bumps it up quite abit...

(or maybe those cris ashtley kits)

i would suggest although it is possible to do it cheap like an xe, dont. you will regret it.

budget a lot of cash and but all proper parts

u see my xe project engine alone stands me around 3.5k

dont want to spend a fortune but if i was going to do this when my other one is finished i could use the time between now and then to pick up some bargains in the for sale ads and researching the best way to do it for budgeting etc etc

budget the same on a turbo, if not more, or it will cost you more in the long run
