this should be a good one, the best match you have ever watched your team in. mine is the play-off semi final 2001 2nd leg at home to birmingham, we were 1-0 from the 1st leg, by the 90th minute in the second leg the score was 1-1 (makin it 2-1 to them on aggregate), virtually the last kick of the game, mark rankine popped up at the back post and tapped it in, taking the game into extra time and eventually penalties, which we won but lost in the final to bolton. this game was the most emotionally draining and the most exciting, enthralling, extatic game i have ever been to, and i dont think it could ever top another game in my eyes....

1987 Liverpool vs Arsenal - 2-0.

Such a nervy game and still the closest title finish ever (and will be very hard to beat)

have been lucky enough to be at a few great games...uefa cup final that went to pens in 2001, both the 4-3 Newscastle games at Anfield, Champions League semi at Anfield against Chelsea, FA Cup semi against Chelsea at Old Trafford and FA Cup final against West Ham.

But none were better than Istanbul. Simple.

For the result it has to be the 1999 Champions league final.
However for sheer excitement it would to be the FA cup semi final against Arsenal where Schmeichel saved a penalty andGiggsy scored his wonder goal

*Also the 4-2 win at Highbury*

Play-offs as well actually.

Crewe - Walsall, beat them 5-1 at home in the first leg, then 4-2 i think away in the second, went on to beat Brentford in the final at Wembley, awesome.

Play-offs the year before we won at home to Luton went to their hole and drew, lost to York in the final tho. (i think, was AGES ago now)

The york one, we were losing with 1 min left in extra time, York defender jumped in the box, no-one near him, decided to handball it, Dave McKearney scored the penalty, lost on penno's.

Has to be one of the two great come backs of last season. First against Basle then against Steaua Bucharest.

I've never felt emotion like it when those last minute goals went in. If my season ticket seat wasn't so far from the pitch i may have been tempted.
