Revo or Jabba are the ones that I looked into, but then decided I didn't actually want the car any faster, or to spend any more money on it than I already have - so it stays standard

I think they're the two most popular, at least on seatcupra.net forums anyhow.
You could always check out vagweb

what ever you do do not get a trial from revo
On the TT forum many have had the trial on their 225's and after the software expires it runs the car at 200 BHP and the OEM map needs to be downloaded again
Tosh company IMO

this doesnt make them a tosh company IMO, there full map software is excellent with many excellent features apart from the performance increase if you have an sps3, its definatly the best "generic" map out there.
just dont get the trial if your not planning on getting the full version, simple

im sure they dont do it on purpose, and i think half of it is in peoples heads as the car will be running exactly the same adaptation values as before.
Are you sure people havent got used to the extra power and are just guessing its about 200 bhp as it feels slower than it was originally?
did these people have it rr'd before to check it was running 225bhp before and didnt have a problem before they ever had hthe map put on?
in a lot of cases the increased power may expose weaknesses such as the oe dump valve or might blow a vacuum hose, or knacker the n75 which will make the car run crap when back to standard

yes on the forum they have had it rr before they went and then after as it felt sluggish
One lad was running 221 before the trial and then 201 after it had expired
Its all on the forum mate

again like Whitter heard so many bad things about the trials not reverting back to stock maps. People were going as far as saying it was done intentionally to show you what a big loss in performance you ended up with so that you would go back to buy the map.

cheers stuart i know so many who have had this done
I feel the actaul map is not a bad map and they use alot of boost so its quite harsh rather than smooth which some people prefer
All I can say is stay away from any trials
Because of revo trials I personally did not try the APR trial altough my mate did and it was great

the trials dont revert back to the stock program, its still revo running just with the same adaptation levels, revo doesnt magically erase itself

I had my golf re-mapped at jabba. They spent quite a lot of time on it. I think about 6 hours in all. I was very impressed with the service and i had no probs at all with the softwar. It went in standard at 150bhp and came out at 232! One of my friends also had an aniversary golf diesel done there and that flew after.

I'm not questionning that i have driven a revo mapped TT and yes its very good but found APR much smoother
depends what your after but you have to question the comapnies ethics in what they do with the trial
they woudl be better off not offering that service and just doing the full remap
